From what I've seen, it looks a lot like Media Center, and I never had good experiences with it. THEREFORE I do not like the new "experience."

I'm sure it'll work better. I hate the blades anyways. The most exciting feature to me is the ability to save games onto the hard drive and play off that. I guess you still need the disc in to play it but the dvd drive wont run, there-by making the 360 quite and I guess faster load times. Memory will be an issue for some but I could see swaping games on and off the drive as you complete them and/ or when you start a new game.

I'll only have Halo on my drive because that's the game I play the most on-line. It'll be nice to play with out the jet engine exhuast fan running.

Lol, the ripping games idea sounds cool, but when your HDD is that small, and it cost WAY too much to get it upgraded, its really not that worth it. Each game is how many gigs again?...

lol thats what sounded as fanboyish? last i checked all yours and jayges posts in this thread were fanboyish you've brought nothing forth that says the xbox experience will suck the only thing you've brought forth is that its a rip off and the delusion that gamerpics, and themes will no longer be used.
you've both been proven wrong at every turn that gamerpics and themes will be used, and that the avatars will be optional.

I said HE was being a fanboy and too harsh on it, since the new dashboard isn't that bad, and its faster. And no, I didn't say gamerpics or themes would be no longer used, I actually posted a pic of the dash with a theme being used, that was him not me, again get it straight. I never talked about the gamerpics or themes, or said that they suck, go re-read the thread bro...

The general theme as it is looks like crap. They decided to make the images even tinier to preserve their little 3d theme? The way the Halo and Viva Pintata pictures are displayed should be the way all themes are displayed. Big and beautiful. Those are only game-related though. Ugh.

Those aren't themes, only the GoW one is a theme. The others are what you see when looking at the games profile, but its not YOUR 360's theme. Exactly like when on the XMB and you hover over a game, the background changes with an image/theme of that game, but its not your consoles set background.

The Gears theme looks sweet, better then plain, but it looks too washed out, needs to be more visible IMO.

Same here, maybe they added a background to them? Who knows, we'll see. Not EVERY title will have one though, so some will be left with a white screen no doubt.

I see that happening. Personally, I think all the major 3rd party games and 360 exclusives will have their own backgrounds.
