While it's almost certainly referring to Windows 8, I actually like X8 as a name. It's dumb, but no dumber than most console names.

Makes sense, what with Windows 8 and all. Wouldn't surprise me.

This same rumor was going around a few months or maybe a year ago. People were saying they were going to call it infinity or possibly loop and use the 8 symbol to try and outshine the 4 in PS4 to joe dumbass. If they didn't get it from that old rumor and it popped up again in a different place, that might say a lot.

The two circles (360s) making the infinity symbol makes a lot of sense.
