    Suspended due to payment option on xbox live?

    My account has been suspended due to a payment option problem with my credit card so I entered my most recent card that actually works and chose it as an option but it still says suspended and keeps prompting me to choose a new option even though this one is correct. I was gonna call microsoft about it but their site won't load on my computer so I figured I'd ask you guys first. Anyone got a solution for this?

    You don't need their website to call them. Just dial 1-800-4MY-XBOX

    I'm pretty sure I have funds but I haven't bought anything recently, my sub was updated in november and since then I haven't spent any points. I'll try calling them though and see whats up

    Based on posts I've seen on their account suspensions forums, if you can't enter a new card, it's because you've been banned. Hopefully that's not the case, but also hopefully you haven't been doing things you shouldn't

    Is there a way I can tell if it's a card issue or that I've been banned? I hope I'm not banned that would suck, I haven't done anything thoughh so I doubt that's the case.

    Yeah just call that number.  I've had to do it before for various reasons.  No guarantee you'll get someone in this country, but you should still get your problem solved.

    I called them up and hopefully got everything back to normal, xbox has nice customer support people btw, thanks for the help guys.

    Usually if they can't charge your credit card then they suspend your account. Once that happens, you can't go to the free account because you apparently owe them money. I'm only mentioning this because it's a crappy scenario that happened to me.

    Sounds like a situation that leaves a bad taste in your mouth.

    It did. It's the same account I use on PC also. So, I just coughed up $50 for the yearly sub. Now that I see that it's $60, and I don't have a working 360 anymore (thank you RRoD), I made sure to not renew. I'm not pissed that they supposedly need the money, I just see no point in renewing since I don't need it.

    Why don't you just call them? Dealing with them directly is more effective than asking us.
