I wonder if these are baby steps to both consoles basically being able to output the same quality games.
Bungie said the recent Xbox One update (which freed up some of the system resources being hogged by kinect) allowed them to close the gap between the two versions, so it seems likely more developers will also be able to make similar strides in the near future. The fact that this was a recent development is also why the Xbox One beta will still be 720p.
Me too. The whole resolution thing is dumb. I wonder if they would ever put graphics options into games kinda like what we had on the N64 when the expansion pak was out.
It's 2014, this game should be AT LEAST 30fps 1080p on a brand new system, tear free.
An option would be nice, actually.
As far as I'm concerned, games with faster framerates just play and feel better than those locked at 30. The difference between 720p and 1080p is hardly big enough for me to sacrifice framerate for resolution, but then I wouldn't trade 720p60 for 4K resolutions at 30 frames per second. But some people are the other way around.
I guess I will point out that this is coming out because the beta will be 900p on Xbox One. Though I am happy to see that most people in this thread share the same opinion as mine that a constant frames per second (60 preferred) is more important.
