Microsoft has announced that within the first year, we'll see 15 exclusives from them. Eight of which are new IP's. Let's start the guessing game.

1. Forza Motorsports 5 from Turn Ten.
2. Quantum Break from Remedy.
3. Big new mysterious IP from newly formed Canadian developer Black Tusk Studios. I'm guessing that it's not a first person shooter.
4. Halo 5 and/or Halo 2 HD from 343 Games.
5. Rare is making the next Killer Instinct Game.
6. Rare is also making a new Viva Pinata for the Kinect.
7. Twisted Pixel is making an FMV game for the Kinect.
8. Lionhead Studios announces Black & White 3 for the Kinect.
9. New sports game (baseball?) from newly formed Skybox Sports.
10. Another fitness game for the Kinect.
11. Another Kinect adventures type of game.
12. Shadow Complex 2.
13. There's some studio Microsoft recruited for called "Connected Experiences"... a large scale free to play multiplayer game?

Also predicting that Xbox One launches with Forza 5 and Kinect Adventure-like game in the box.

Surely there's a new gears or whatever epic is working on in that list somewhere.

i wonder if an exclusive console port of an existing PC exclusive would count. it'd be funny if they figured out something like an FTL for console and then called it an EXXXCLUSIVVVVE.

You know, I am fine if a good portion of those 15 exclusives will be kinect games so long as there are a few good non-kinect games. I am just really wanting some new concepts. Halo and Forza are great but it would be awesome to get some new meat (i.e. not just a remake) on the table.

Kinect Viva Pinata makes no sense. They are not going to force anything like with Fable: The Journey to try and sell Kinect. The thing is already included with every box.

I'm completely willing to swing back to XB1 but im in the PS4 camp right now, microsoft has gotta dazzle me, and i hope they do, its just i have absolutely no interest in kinect.

I'm being 50/50 serious/joking. I may not be interested in the X1 but I AM interested to see some of those games. Namely Quantum Break, the Rare game and their other exclusives that won't be Kinect only. If they have interesting titles at E3, I would consider buying an X1 after a price drop or two. Depends on the number of titles I'm interested in. By the way, I'm not the only person that thinks this. I only posted this because I knew it was coming so why not go for it first? Hell yes it does! Damn, I loved that game! What pains me the most is how I only borrowed that from a friend, and never got to finish it. Now I don't even have a N64. This is one game they should have released on the Wii Marketplace.

Yeah. That built in Kinect thing means probably half of those exclusives will be focused on flippin´ out in front of a bad webcam that doesn´t work half the time.

I still want to see what that Rare game is going to be, but I don´t think it´ll be worthwhile.

The Kinect they had the gaming press use looked to be accurate enough. I still saw a slight lag between movement of the player and the movement of the wire skeleton, but at least it wasn't flipping out like the original Kinect.

Rare is a former shell of the Rare that even made Banjo: Nuts and Bolts and Viva Pinata, much less the Rare that worked with Nintendo. The new Rare game for the Xbox One being bad can be a foregone conclusion.

Yeah, because foregone conclusions work so freaking well in this industry... I like to keep an open mind about the development side of things, especially if it´s new guys trying to prove something. That said, the odds of the Kinect 2.0 working correctly are slim to none. They´ve already proven they are willing to ship a broken product and call it "innovative"- and that people will buy that shit.

I don't understand your stance on the Kinect and Rare. Videos of the new Kinect show that its pretty responsive. How well that responsiveness will be in actual games has yet to be seen, but the device itself looks to work decently. Meanwhile Rare has been terrible since Avatars came to XBL. Its good to always give a game a fair chance, but Rare has done nothing in the past +5 years to earn any type of trust.

I don't think "Kinect games" will necessarily be a thing anymore. I think as all the consoles come with one, every game will be a Kinect game. They can all support it if the thing is universally owned.

I think they seem to be taking a more mature approach to the new Kinect and are focussing more on integration with controller-based games beyond what we've seen so far e.g. "liara...shockwave".

Remember at the reveal they said you could "raise your controller and a virtual shield follows". There's no way pre-Xbox One reveal that they would have said you could use a controller AND Kinect for move-based mechanics. It was either fully a kinect game where "you are the controller" or limited to voice commands on Kinect-enabled stuff.

Now that the Xbox One will recognise your controller as well as you things should get a little more interesting.

Not that I don't fully agree that a large chunk of their 15 titles will be Kinect Sports 3-like games though... they'll need to have something to cater for all the input devices at launch (incl. smart glass).

my 2 cents:

1. I too think the Rare title will be "Killer Instinct", but it still seems REALLY strange.

2. The Black Tusk thing, I think, it MIGHT be an FPS (did you see their Logo? Looks ID'ish), but 60% of me says, it's story driven and set in the real world, it would fit the the crowd MS is going for with the XB1 better.

3. Lionhead is definitely not making mire Fable in the near future. Black&White with the Curiosity-winner having some control is my bet.

4. I super highly doubt Epic would do another exclusive Gears for MS. You'd have to offer them a giant pile of money to do that, more than it would cost to make their own with a new studio and aggressive marketing. Maybe if it's just a limited-amount-of-time exclusive... like Mass Effect 2 for example. 1 1/2 years, until the install base is high enough, you don't lose too much money, if you're exclusive.

[DAMN, Shadow Complex 2! didn't think of that, that would practically leave me no choice, but to get an XB1... unless Nintendo makes a damn good Metroid]
