It's so stressful and nerve-wracking, I have to take frequent breaks. That being said, I absolutely love the game and it may be my favorite game of the year. Do any of you guys get totally worn out playing this game?

I can't play it for any less than 5 hours at a time.

I remember having that problem a little bit when I started on similar Strategy games in the 90s. Don't worry, if you keep playing you'll probably find that over time your nerves will steele and you'll be capable of powering through the stress.

I just take a break when one of my veteran soldiers. Then I come back to tackle the mission again.

Between deciding what to spend my money on, keeping countries happy and keeping as many of my soldiers alive as possible, It's a lot to take in.

@BananaHammock: Have you played similar games prior to this? If not then you're just going through a growing process. It is a lot to manage squad level combat alongwith the administrative management. And keep one thing in mind as you go along; It's okay to fail or game over. A lot of times you're going to have eureka moments after a terrible defeat.

I'm having a similar problem, but with all games. I can't seem to play for more than at most an hour at a time before just kind of drifting away from whatever it is I'm playing. I love Borderlands 2 and Torchlight 2 but I just can't keep playing for some reason.

I feel the same way with Walking Dead; usually that game is so intense D: Not so much the latest episode, though.

I'm new to strategy games. I'm kind of scared that I'll put a lot of hours into the game and get to a point where I can't progress, making my only option to start over. If that were to happen, I'm the kind of person who would just put the game down forever.

When shit starts to get fucked, and I start making mistakes, it's usually time for me to stop. I recently 2 of my Colonels, which wasn't comforting.

Maybe you try starting off on Easy?

I'll trade your problem for mine, which is: "2:30 in the morning? SURE I CAN PLAY FOR 3 HOURS"

@Spoonman671: Me neither. My eyes hurt T.T

I play this game like I play Civ, until it crashes or I pass out.

I finished it this morning, having put over 40 hours into it in less than 3 days.. That's somewhat crazy. Now I'm enjoying Dishonored!

It's crazy stressful. I'm 3 missions after the first terror mission and just lost my second soldier (both were squaddies. The first died on the first mission. I skipped the tutorial.) so I'm feeling really good about that. Only playing on Normal, but with no experience with the genre, I think I'm doing well. Almost lost my Captain but I saved her. Couldn't keep playing because I'm tired and I know I'm going to fuck something up if I continue tonight.

What started out good has ended up in a shit storm. I've lost all my men and now I'm relying on squaddies (thanks to the new guy perk) I'm at a point where every mission is very difficult and man when you have nothing but a step above rookies it's hard as fuuuuck. Hopefully my alloy shiv will be of use and the captain I just rescued in Mexico. I've also had 2 countries drop funding in this last pay session which is terrible. The world is goin to shit and I don't have much to stop it

I played for 19 hours over 2 days. I'd be playing now if it wasn't downloading a 1.8gig patch.

Too many aliens to kill!
