These new Xenoblade screens are very pretty....

Xenoblade Chronicles is a 2010 RPG developed by Monolith Soft, exclusively on the Nintendo Wii. Two great civilizations that live on the vast bodies of slain deities have been at war for aeons, and now with the development of a dangerous superweapon, things are finally coming to a head.

These new Xenoblade screens are very pretty....

This overworld has grass. Take THAT Final Fantasy XIII.

This battle screen makes no sense, but the colors are great.

Seems like Monolith Soft is putting a lot of care into the game environments. Hopefully the characters themselves get the same treatment.

Those are nice looking scenes. Coincidentally, this article appeared over at sankaku in regards to character design. Totally NSFW link! I don't really see the big issue though it does seem a step down from Xenosaga 3 *shrugs* There's a trailer at the end of the article which shows off some more pretty scenery and shows some of the characters.

I always forget the URL of that website for some reason. Quite a special site.

As for the game I am still not "feeling" it. It looks OK and you can see what they are going for but it just does not feel right somehow. I've been feeling like this about the game since it was still called Monado but hopefully I will be pleasantly surprised when this comes out.

Dislike the character designs and modeling, but that doesn't bother me that much, environments look great for a game that supposedly has a seamless world, can't wait.
