Xonox was a Minnesota based publisher of Atari 2600, and later Coleco and Commodore 64 games. While only nine games were produced, various configurations of "double ender" cartridges were released. A double ender cartridge containing two games retailed for the same price as a single game, but the value proposition was not enough to keep Xonox afloat. Even after releasing several of the games as single cartridges, and Commodore 64 diskettes, the Video Game Crash ended the company.
While the double ender cartridges were unusual, they were not the first company to experiment with two-sided cartridges. Playaround, an adult-oriented publisher, had done the same earlier.
