Game director for Final Fantasy VI, Chrono Trigger, Final Fantasy VII and Final Fantasy VIII. Later worked as producer for Final Fantasy X and Final Fantasy X-2. Also produced/co-produced the Compilation of Final Fantasy VII as well as the Kingdom Hearts series.

Yoshinori Kitase is a scenario writer, game producer and former game director working for Square Enix (formerly known as SquareSoft). Kitase joined the company in 1991.

Currently Kitase is working as an executive producer for The 3rd Birthday as well as a producer for Final Fantasy XIII. Kitase is the head of Sqaure Enix's Production Team 1, notable for developing the modern Final Fantasy titles.
