Football Zombie makes the big plays.
Frankenstein's monster is the creature inspired by the Mary Shelley novel, Frankenstein. Usually creatures inspired by this theme are made from different body parts and almost always have bolts through their necks. They're usually naive and destructive.
Games that have been used as the basis for motion pictures.
These spooky entities are the spirits of the dead, returned from beyond their graves for generally sinister purposes. There's generally about even odds whether a particular ghost will be helpful or malevolent towards the living, but some ghosts just want to be left alone entirely.
Pokémon who usually are associated with the undead.
Gibs (giblets) are, basically, what's left of someone after they make contact with an explosive object or powerful weapon. They can be seen in games such as Doom, Quake, Team Fortress 2 and many, many more.

Zombified Hazmat members, wearing suits to protect against radioactive material. These guys appear in Left 4 Dead 2.
Spider-like parasitic animals from an unknown universe with amazing powers of genetic transformation. Introduced in the original Half-Life, headcrabs come in several varieties, all of which are incredibly dangerous to unsuspecting or unprepared humans.
Most modern shooting games add the realistic touch of rendering shots to the cranium instantly fatal. Glorious for the shooter, kind of a bummer to the shootee.
Enemy in Doom games, also known as Former Commando or Chaingunner.
Henchmen are the loyal grunts caught in between the player and the main antagonist. Without them every game would be nothing more than a boss battle.
The Hive are an ancient alien race in the Destiny universe. They are guided by a religious principle known as the Sword Logic, a doctrine which instructs the Hive to destroy all other civilizations in order to feed the Worms that dwell within them.
"Horde" is a type of multiplayer game mode in which players battle co-operatively against increasingly difficult waves of computer-controlled enemies.
Similar to the Wilhelm Scream, this is an often used voice sample heard in many games, e.g. Starcraft and Half-Life 2. It is also known as the "TIE fighter scream" for it's similarity to the sound the passing fighters make in Star Wars: A New Hope.
Husks are cybernetic, zombified corpses. The Geth create them by impaling human bodies with giant mechanical spikes, known as Dragon's Teeth to experienced Alliance soldiers.
A moderately powerful specimen with a flame thrower as a left arm
A page dedicated to the graphics engine that has powered games such as Doom 3, Quake 4 and Wolfenstein.
Whether a character never ages or is invincible, immortality represents the inability to die. Sometimes this is a blessing, sometimes it is a curse. Either way it usually makes for an interesting game mechanic.
Enemies will spawn infinitely until the player has accomplished a certain goal, e.g reached a checkpoint or killed a certain number of enemies.
A situation where the player-controlled character loses their life immediately. The quickness of that demise is often a stark departure from the balance of power, and sometimes the rules, established by the developers during the rest of the game.
An Iron Maiden is an enemy found in Resident Evil 4. Iron Maidens are an upgraded form of the Regenerators, with iron spikes covering it's body.
Placing the player in an environment and making them feel alone. Games often use this for atmospheric effect.
