IOS game Zombies Run is 75% reduced in price this weekend. If you were interested in Zombies run but like me you thought the £5.50 price was too steep - now is probably the time to pounce on it and liven up your runs. To be clear, the sale reduces the price to £1.49 ($1.99).

FYI, this sale is largely the result of a little problem that happened with the iTunes store and the way they were fulfilling the Kickstarter/Preorder buyers. But don't let that stop you from enjoying it. Also, they keep saying the Android version is on track for June 14.

Just used it for the first time and completed the first mission. I like it so far, it really livens up the run. Just need to ensure that I update my music playlist for it to keep things fresh.

The gist of the story is that they put up a free app that is a sort of a demo of the game that syncs to your e-mail and unlocks all of the content as a way of giving the Kickstarter backers the game free. They thought they had Apple's blessing. 3 months after launch, Apple says they can't do that, and forces it to be taken down. Apple at least cooperated enough to allow one final update to go out under the "free" version and left it on the app store for a week as a last chance to grab that update. But the free version (ZR Advance) was pulled from the app store at some point yesterday.
