Quick Look: Maquette

This seems neat! Heavy "A Fisherman's Tale" vibes in terms of puzzle design, which is the best VR thing I've ever played personally. Looking forward to trying this out.

Vinny mentioned that you are definitively playing as Michael. Do they ever explicitly state in the game which one of the two characters you're controlling? Maybe it's alluded to somewhere that you are controlling explicitly either Kenzie or Michael, and I just missed it? I thought it was actually kind of interesting that they kept that vague, but maybe i'm just thick.

The scene at around 3min reminds of the exact thing that is the "blind" date in movie About Time (that is probably the most rare movie type of all of being time travel romantic comedy, can only literally put one another movie in same genre)

Return of the Maq

You know, this might be right. In my head it was him saying all that stuff, but I'm not sure they specifically lock it in. They use some pet names throughout, but having trouble recalling a specific moment of identifying the person. Interesting.

Funnily enough, I had it in my head that I was specifically Kenzie, until I realised that I couldn't be sure which one I actually was. I think they even go as far as making them use the same pet names for each other, so that when that pet name appears in text it's not a clue to which one you are.

I think the Waypoint crew put it best where I believe Patrick described this as a little too Garden State for modern sensibilities.

Based on this QL, I'm with Alex. It definitely feels cutesy, but doesn't go too far as to be saccharine. Sounds like Vinny maybe soured slightly on it towards the end, but it seems like a fairly relaxing way to spend a weekend. Maybe a nice palate-cleanser between more "heavy" stuff?

I think this would benefit from more realistic first person movement. Like they want you to feel like you're in this world, but you are really booking through these environments as if you're a floating camera waiting to respawn in a deathmatch game or something.
