Borderlands 2

You're going to have to take your killing spirit and talents to the land of Pandora. You'll be playing the part of a Vault Hunter who is seeking the legendary vault that holds something that could change the course of history. The only problem is you're going to have to battle a man by the name of Handsome Jack, who has an endless supply of resources and likes to see others squirm. If you think you're up for the challenge then pick your poison as either a Siren, Assassin, Gunzerker, or Soldier. All have a unique way of doing things, and all have the ability to become legends.

Graphically you're not going to see that much, if any, improvement over Borderlands 2. Sure you're going to get some new locales to mess around with but at the end of the day you're going to be trekking through a lot of desert like areas and shooting a lot of enemies. There are some new enemies to add to the list, and I have to say there are some out there that I wish didn't make the list. There's any enemy with the name Rat in their title. All I have to say is watch your wallet when they draw near. You'll also get to see some of your favorite characters from the first making an appearance as part of the resistance against Hyperion (Jack's evil corporation).

The music of the game feels the same, but its the dialog that most come for. The dialog is a bit dirty, but it sure is humorous. You'll get to deal with Scooter's crazy mind, Dr. Zed's warped thoughts, and more.

The controls are the same as Borderlands 2, and that's really for the best. It was a comfortable feel for the first game so they didn't want to jack it up.

Alright so I decided to play as the Assassin. The first thing you've got to do is figure out what kind of weapon specialist you are. For me it was all about the sniper rifle, but because of limited ammo, and the fact that you start the game off with only one weapon slot open it was all about the pistols. Sadly the revolver is no longer apart of the game, though there are some weapons that will give you that revolver feel. Now there is something you need to know about Borderlands, the weapons that drop from enemies you've killed are sometimes going to be off the wall, and probably something that will blow your mind and there will never be anything that you can buy out of a vending machine that will equal up. That's just a fact of the game. There are a ton of weapons though, so don't feel bad if you feel you're constantly updating your arsenal, its all part of the game. You'll find rocket launchers, pistols, sniper rifles, automatic rifles, mini-guns, grenades, and shotguns to play around with. You'll also have to make sure you keep an eye on your shield, that's what's probably going to keep you alive, and if you're lucky you'll find one that has a chance to absorb ammo so you don't run out as fast.

There are a ton of side missions and story missions to play. I don't know what the main story line time is, I did a ton of side quests, but I can tell you that there's probably at least 20 hours in there of shooting all kinds of enemies, wrecking havoc, and running up a death tally. Oh and there's this thing called badass rank, the more you do certain things the more points you get, you can then use those points to help add little bonuses to your character such as adding damage to your gun, or charging your shield faster. All I can say is that this is the perfect stress relieve game if you're willing to go to a spot you've been to a dozen times and just open fire, hell sometimes I don't even get out of my ride and just use the gun on it to mow everything down.

There's so much to enjoy about this game and as long as you're willing to go through some growing pains when you get to certain spots (basically when you get above level 20ish the enemies aren't as stupid as they used to be and will light you up if you're not careful), you're going to love this game as I loved this game. Sure there was definitely a number of times where the collision detection wasn't there, I got trapped in a couple of ceilings and walls, and so did some of the enemies, but for the vast majority of the time you're having too much fun to notice such things as those. So with that I have to give this game a grade and I have to give it an 8.9 out of 10.
