I have that exact Qanba stick and am crazy happy with it. Not needing a stick per platform is so nice and it is looking good as far as support on PS4. Not sure about Xbox One.

The lack of Vinny on GB these days is so upsetting. I get he's super busy with setting up a studio and all in NY with Alex. But how long has it been now? And he's so little on here anymore. It's also not just himself but how he interacts and works together with the other GB guys. He was such a strong and entertaining part of this site.

I really hope the whole Giant Bomb East thing is going to pay off in the end.

Dinosaur BBQ! Pretty much the only good thing in downtown Syracuse. I'm not a fan of the Honey/Garlic sauce, but their "normal" sauce is pretty much the best thing ever.

Just seeing Vinny makes me incredibly happy.

I've never heard of spinnaker, it isnt available at all on UK whisky online stores, which is super strange if it is actually made in speyside.

Always a good time having Alex and Vinny hangin' with the rest of the gang. Hopefully with their new online setup seeming to work well we'll get to see a ton more of them interacting with the GBwest crew, but as much as I'm an advocate for "talking over the internet is as good as talking in person" there's still something nice about everyone being in the same room once in a while.

Whisky actually comes in different tastes and variations. So-called "cask strength" comes straight from the barrell, right after maturation, so it has 60% booze in it. That shit is strong - and the problem is that it can be too strong, to the point where it numbs your tastebuds and you actually won't get most of the flavor there. So actually, you should mix it - with water, and actual, non-fizzy water preferably. Ice is alright, but very low temperature can have the same effect of numbing your ability to actually taste the liquor. That's part of the reason why you drink stuff like vodka cold: you can down shots of ice cold vodka with relative ease without chasing it down with anything, but good luck once that temperature drops. Some have the stomaches to do it - I do not, at least not anymore.

But in general, you should drink it the way you want it - as with most booze. If you can afford to pump proper-ass whisky like it's a bottle of Smirnoff, knock yourself out, and drowning your 40% (which is still quite alright) Jack Daniels in Coke or Pepsi won't hurt it too much.

I watched Versus years ago and didn't realize it had any connections to Metal Gear Solid. (Though, now I think about it, the guy who recommended it to me was always more in the know about that sort of thing.) The others in that pack are good too.

It just reminds me that the unfeasibly large DVD collection I cultivated ten years ago is 90% cool guy action movies like those. Didn't really feel the need to expand my horizons back then, I guess.

I'm from Syracuse, NY and go to the original Dino BBQ all the time. It's the best. The one in Rochester is really great too. You go for the ribs, but their burgers are also amazing.
