Marble it Up is on Switch as well, made by some of the Marble Blast developers as a spiritual successor. It also make me very happy.

i dont know if its happening for anyone else but the video is doing that think where i watch it for 5 minutes then it abruptly ends and skips to the next one.

@jeff You can't equip that sword because it's the sword that you're using as your familiar If you change to a different familiar you can then equip that sword. EDIT: And someone mentioned this on the stream. Guess I should have watched more of the video.

@benpack You get unique shards from beating those optional bosses.

This was fun. Added some games to my wishlist. Especially Bloody Spell is better than it has any right to be. We get too few games that just let you fuck shit up with a sword and let you do cool aerial moves. That's instantly fun.

Has bad animation, but the presentation and story looks intriguing

The biggest thing that I learned from this stream was that Luftrausers was out on Steam. I thought it was PS3 only. Thanks guys.

@zoofame: I don't know, Vinny is definitely gonna go to bat for it. Abby seems to be in it. Alex likes what he's seen. Okay what I'm saying is, it seems it'll be an EastvsWest battle. And I'm saying this as someone who bounced right off of Outer Wilds.

Doesn't seem completely impossible.

Also I must have skipped the Witcher 3 year because I can't believe Giant Bomb would look over Witcher 3. It's considered one of the best games of this generation

Edit: just looked it up. Number 10 for that year?? Phantom Pain at 2?. Wow, glad I skipped those deliberations. Looking back, Phantom Pain definitely seems be less liked.

That skyline did seem to have the Milwaukee art museum in it, so I say it's accurate.

@zoofame: From the E3 streams, it seemed like Jeff has played and enjoyed Outer Wilds as well. But @steveurkel is right -- no way Outer Wilds is going to stand a chance against Doom 2.

Switch has turned into like a dream console. Seems too good to be real.

I love every time they do this type of stream they slowly figure out there's actually a bunch of hidden gems on Steam. Too bad they quickly forget about it afterwards.

Holy shit Lucah on Giant Bomb, I urge people to play that game it's incredible! There is a parry actually, you have to dodge into the attack and it's super responsive. Also the story is fascinating, I highly recommend it!

@zoofame: Would you really be surprised at MK being on the top ten? It's one of this year's major releases and it's been highly regarded. Also didn't Vinny say he loved OuterWilds?

Project Winter is kind of like the board game Dead of Winter, which is really good if anyone's interested. You have to get the group to a main goal and you also have to complete your own objectives, which could include traitorously sabotaging other people's personal goals.

Also I'm team Outer Wilds, one of my favorites I've played for sure. The mechanics and story mesh so goddamn well, but I can totally see why someone would fall off it. The whole thing is exploration driven, so if you aren't hooked by the narrative or the sci-fi world then there's not much there mechanically besides a flight simulator in a small planet system. That's my niche, though.

Wow, another ninja game where you can just ogle almost-naked girls. And as a bonus, none of the pesky gear will cover her body up! Ugh. Why even include the option to play as a girl at that point? It's so clearly meant for titillation.

I haven't played it, but I don't understand the enthusiasm for Chinese knock off ninja souls. It looks like crap and looks like it plays significantly worse than everything it blatantly steals from.

Outer Wilds is quite good, but I'm side-eyeing the "one of the greatest games of all time" takes. The opening hours were really special and probably the best new thing I've played this year, but I've been far less enthusiastic about the back half and haven't played in over a week. Some of the solutions to various mysteries have been disappointingly anticlimactic and the lack of a way to speed up the time-loop when various time-specific things need to be dealt with has really killed my drive to finish it.

This is a pretty astute observation, I feel.

Yo Bloody Spell is actually pretty fucking cool.

Ben talks about the "just out of reach of double jump" chests and platforms in Bloodstained, and a lot of those are accessible immediately by using the divekick to bounce off of lanterns or flying enemies. Those chests tend to have pretty choice gear, too, if you get them in the moment instead of coming back when you have more mobility powers.

Also, I'm really happy to hear so many people expressing a soft hype for more ActRaiser.

@luciddreams117 popular opinion is definitely that witcher 3 is better than phantom pain, but phantom pain is a way better video game. witcher 3 is okay at best IMO. Even the writing is grossly overrated; I'd call it "good for a video game." The vocal performances are pretty terrible, especially Geralt. The gameplay itself is borderline bad in a lot of ways. "Deliberate" without the weight of a souls game.

Meanwhile, Phantom Pain struggles on the story, but the gameplay is... basically perfect?

Oh good, an opportunity for Ben to practice his improv.
