    Copying Save Data to External HDD, which save is used?

    Pretty much what the topic says. I have never really thought about this until now and I was curious if anyone on here knew. For example, if I were to Copy (not Move) my Smash Wii U save to my External HDD, would the save on the System Memory be used or would it be the one on the External HDD?

    Thought about making copies of my Saves for games that I really care about to my External HDD for backup.
