One of A Kind
This game has a lot to offer zombie-shooter fans in an age where there wasn't really another game like it in town. The game has tons of fun and unique weapons, enemies, and locations to visit which never fail to give the player a fun romp through a gaming experience that is like none other (in the BEST of ways). Baddies have weaknesses to particular weapons that it's up to the player to find. The locations have destructible set pieces which allow access to restricted areas, extra lives, ammo, points, weapons and the like.
The graphics -AND- sound are pretty damn good especially for an older game. Enemies melt, explode, burn and do all the wonderful "payoff" things we've come to know and love from a lot of new game's death sequences but in this game it's done in a cartoony, comedic way that stays amazingly awesome from beginning to end. The game also has a ton of levels and as repetitive as the old formula may seem, this game manages to keep it fresh from start to finish much like killing hordes of demons in DOOM did when it was released and I think we all remember how awesome that was! It isn't much a review but it's hard to describe a game like ZOMBIES ATE MY NEIGHBORS without actually sitting down and playing it for yourself.
