    Overview

    1943 Kai: Midway Kaisen ("1943 Revision: Battle for Midway") is a vertical-scrolling shoot 'em up set during WWII. The game was released by Capcom in the Arcade one year after 1943, alongside the Famicom port of 1943. The game is a modification of 1943, including modified assets, fewer levels, and more challenging gameplay.

    In 1991, Capcom released a version for the PC Engine titled 1943 Kai which further updated the graphics, added a new soundtrack, but otherwise carried over the Arcade version's modifications from the original. The PC Engine port is compatible with the MultiTap accessory.
