Firaxis Games
Firaxis Games was founded in 1996 by Sid Meier (Person), Jeff Briggs and Brian Reynolds (Person). They are located in Hunt Valley, Maryland. They are famous for developing a number of well known strategy game franchises including Civilization (Franchise), Pirates! and Railroads!, all of which carry the "Sid Meier's" moniker.
Irrational Games
Founded in 1997 by Ken Levine (Person), Jonathan Chey (Person), and Robert Fermier (Person). They are located in Quincy, Massachusetts. Their first big hit game with System Shock 2 (Game), a role playing game for the PC. In 2007, they released Bioshock which received strong sales and won numerous awards. They are currently developing Bioshock Infinite. For a short while the studio took on the name 2K Boston, before being returning to its original name Irrational Games in 2010. Thee studio closed down in 2014.

2K Czech (Company) is located in Brno, Czech Republic. They were formed in 1997 by Petr Vochozka (Person) as Illusion Softworks, before being acquired by 2K and renamed 2K Czech.
