Ace Combat Infinity is a downloadable free-to-play flight-combat game for PSN. It features both a single player story campaign, and a 4 vs 4 online mode.

Originally due out in Q4 2013, the game underwent multiple beta testing periods (limited to Japanese PSN accounts) before being officially pushed back to 2014.

The game's story mode tries to combine the Strangereal world from the early Ace Combat titles with the real world, where the last two games were set. In 1994, several asteroids in collision course with Earth were detected, and a large network of anti-air railguns, named Stonehenge, was built to destroy them. In 1999 the asteroids entered Earth orbit, but the railguns were unable to destroy them all, causing a meteor rain that devastated the world's major cities and forced refugees to other regions where they formed new independent nations. The game is set in May 2019, as a terrorist group takes over a military manufacturing plant in the independent region Iyuli in southeast Russia, gaining access to part of the Stonehenge railgun network. The player takes on the role of a Mercenary for the private military company Arrow, who gets contracted by USAF and the United Nations to stop the terrorist activity.

As of April 1st, 2018, online services for Ace Combat Infinity have concluded and the game can no longer be played.
