    Overview

    Adam Malkovich's helmet is a key goal item in the epilogue of Metroid: Other M. After Adam's death and the end of the events of the primary storyline, Samus returns to the Bottle Ship to retrieve something important that was left behind. At first, the item in question isn't specified, but when Samus reaches the ship's command station at the end of the epilogue, she retrieves Adam's forgotten helmet from the console. As she holds the helmet, a flashback occurs, showing Adam's perspective during Samus's encounter with MB in which the android attempted to trick Samus into entering Sector 0 of the ship so that she would meet certain death.

    As the flashback concludes, a self-destruct mechanism on the ship is activated, and Samus must escape back to her ship before time expires.
