Advance Wars 2: Black Hole Rising does not have big time marketing backing it, but it has consistently been one of the top sellers among GBA games for one reason: it is addictive and fun. Featuring a turn-based battle system that is much more involving and fun than turn-based games usually are, the game is rich with personality and style. NOTE: This review was written by me years ago, but it's never been posted on GB, so enjoy!***************Everyone begged for it, and now we got it. The surprise GBA hit of 2001 received almost unanimous praise from every gamer who laid their eyes and hands upon it. Many still believe Advance Wars to be the best GBA game, even in the face of recent games such as Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow.
