Would you start/return if you got 10 free days of AOC?

I got an email from Warhammer Online the other day, saying i get 10 free days to return and try it out. Now, i think thats a GREAT idea. Getting people to come back and try their improved product. Definately an amazing idea i think.

AoC had a HUGE launch. HUGE! Then theyre subscription rates dropped, fast. Why? Well i think mainly it was the bugs and grind. Which makes sense....the game wasnt finished when it was released. Now the simple fact is, AoC has come a long way since its launch. More content and bugs fixed. I think alot more people would subscribe if they saw that.

But why would they? Pay for another month when you were dissasisfied with the game? How the fuck are you suppost to drag in new players huh. I think if they offered some free time people would give it a shot and see "hey, this is a fucking brutal game, i like it".

If Funcom emailed you offering 10 free days of the game, would you try it out?

    Just a thought.
    Any ideas?

No. I'm quite opposed to online gaming.

I'm not even going to start Eve Online even though I'm fairly interested and even though the trial is 21 days, so no to AoC.

After my draining experience with WoW(2 years of non-stop addiction), no incentives could send me back.

I've recently signed up to Warhammer Online so I wouldn't return to Age of Conan if offered a 10 day free period. Even if I wasn't just starting WAR I still wouldn't return to Age of Conan ever again.

Id give it a shot. It had great graphics and all they would really have to do to hook me would be add end game content and fix the bugs.

I got to level 80 in 31 days after the releasae of the game though, so maybe Im not the right person to ask, b/c obviously I must have been addictied to it if I got through the grind from 50-80.

No it's not worth reinstalling and going through all the BS just to play it and discover all over again that I don't like MMOs, and I don't like AOC even more.

If they had released it for 360 like they originally planned, I would have checked it out.

    I'd give it a look-see if I got a ten day trial.

Sure why not, I always play SWG and WoW (Resurrect a Friend) everytime I get 10 free days. I never played much of AoC to begin with.

No, I never got into the MMORPG genre, and ten free days of this game wouldn't start it for me.

OP on a scale of 1 to 10 ... 1 being bad, how would you rate conan at the moment compared to how the game state was the first week?

I loved the idea of Age of Conan and was suckered into buying the game and quit 2 weeks after release with tears in my eyes ...

I also wound up quiting AoC and I'm not altogether sure if I'd try it out again if they offered free time.
I'd have to download all the updates again and that just sounds like too much of a pain in the ass.

If they would just give out free trails like WoW then I would give it a shot.

Even if they did give out free trials, apparently you need at least 27GB of free space to place this game...

    ...wow.

Regardless, that is pretty ridiculous for any game (even PC), and even the magnitude of an MMORPG game. I have about 80GB left out of my 160GB HDD, and considering I won't use much more, this is nothing. Still, this crappy game takes up that much space.

Huge demo downloads are one of the things that kill demo periods in games for me.  Don't want to downloaded many gigs just to play a game for a few days.
