Game » consists of 6 releases. Released Aug 15, 2017
Inspired by Saturday-morning cartoons, this single-player spin-off of the Saints Row series pits a roaming squad of anti-heroes against a massive evil organization in near-future South Korea.
Volition's new game is Agents of Mayhem
Something about this just makes me want to play Saints Row II through to IV again.
Might do just that after exams.
I liked that its something new while still attached to the crazy world of Saints Row. I got chills at the end when it shows the purple fluer de lis.
So excited for this, Saints Row 3 and 4 were great. Love the artstyle, hope it's represented in the game proper, too. It looks much better than Telltale's/Borderland's celshading thing. I'll miss having a character creator, but not that much.
This reminds me that I still haven't played Saints Row IV.
I'm interested - love the connection to the Saints and Ultor. It almost gave me a Crackdown vibe. Crackdown was one of those games that I loved the traversal, but that was about it. Add the Saints Row "attitude" and I'm definitely in.
Can't say anything about the game itself but if the final game has that 2d animated smoke/effects I really dig it. Reminds me a bit of Zone of the Enders 2.
They remind me most of the new Strider, I think. It's a good look.
I'm interested. I really like Saints Row, and it seems like they're tying this into the greater Saint's/(formerly I'd have to guess) Red Faction thing they had going.
@redhotchilimist: First time I saw that sort of thing was a random gif of when Jinx shoots the rocket in her League of Legends trailer, but there's quite a bit of it before.
Shit looked cool as all fuck; I remember spending the afternoon frantically finding out what it was from.
@yummylee: The Ultor Corp has been in Saints Row and Red Faction since both series first respective games. In SR2 they're basically the baddies.

I know? They were in the original Saints Row as well, but as a clothing brand. I remember them referencing that in Saints Row 2 even, for how much bigger of a company they've become, when you're returning to Stillwater after the prison breakout.
EDIT: lol whoops, I missed how you said both respective series :P
As a fan of Saints 3 and 4 this trailer didnt' really do it for me, hopefully the game is good though. Seems odd not to have Co-op with 12 playable characters, i would probably be into that at this moment but oh well.
This was a good idea. Get a nice, lengthy trailer out of the way before E3, and then we can see the the actual game then. Seems like a step back to not have co-op, though. Still should be well worth playing. Volition games are usually quite fun.
Finally an open world game where I'm actually familiar with the location. At least the present day version. I live about an hour away from Seoul and visit regularly. I'll be interested to see how they shoehorn a city of 10 million that has mountains and a massive river running down the middle into a game.

Without any context for what the actual gameplay looks like I'll hold off on judgement. Loving that they still had the Saint's flur de lis at the end. I hope there is some story connection for all of this.
Ahoy motherfuckers, indeed.
I'm not sure exactly how I feel about this. I need to see gameplay. I know it's a CG trailer, but I'm not entirely sure what type of game this is.
Picking from a squad of 12 "heroes" and having it be single player sounds strange. Maybe it'll have a co-op option like Saint's Row? For a bit I was hoping it'd be like a slick futuristic version of the Borderlands format but seemingly not.
I did just harpoon a lot of things in the recent Fallout 4 DLC and I swear some other game I played recently also had harpoons in it.
This looks like a new Crackdown to me basically, which is a good thing. Where Crackdown could have gone (a more directly super hero direction).
