When the game, in addition to a lock pick and key, allows us to open padlocks by force, knocking them down with a blow from a heavy object, a shot from a firearm, and if the developer did not take care of the realism of the physical model, then simply by attacking with a fist.

These are often a departure from the conventional gameplay of a game. There have also been compilations; games including only minigames. The Mario Party series has a lot of minigames, too!
It's the designer's go-to guy. If they want to steer a player in a given direction they'll lock an in game door and force the player to find a way to either unlock it or find an alternate route.
