    Ajantis is a recruitable character in Baldur's Gate. He is a paladin, a squire of the Order of the Radiant Heart in Athkatla, and is travelling the Sword Coast hunting for bandits as part of his preparation for his test of knighthood. He can be found on the outskirts of the ankheg-infested fields in the area just north of the Friendly Arm Inn.

    Personality-wise, Ajantis is a friendly fellow, strongly dedicated to his honor and to his god, Helm. He also feels very strongly about fighting evil, and will often inform you that the dungeon/forest/city you are passing through has a sense of evil about it. He will act hostile and suspicious towards evil party members, but will compliment good party members, saying he respects their integrity. He will also respectfully tell a female player (and possibly some of the female NPC party members as well, such as Branwen) that she is a beautiful lady.

    Ajantis has a very brief indirect appearance in Baldur's Gate II; if Keldorn or Anomen is in your party when you first enter the Windspear Hills, you will learn that Ajantis is one of the killed knights.
