i saw this earlier. msft and humble bundle totally had a huge sale on it very recently too. is it a remedy engineered thing to hype their new IP?

I aptly avoided the humble bundle sale but then I saw this on steam and it was like the universe was calling to me to buy it. So...I did bought the $4 pack.

I already have Alan wake on the 360, but for $3? I can't pass that up!

It's down 90% on Steam again, maybe because it is a T rated shooter in the 21st century

Alan Wake is now 75% off on Steam and I didn't want to make a new thread so here you go. You can get the game for 7 euros or expansions and all for nine.

Alan Wake is roughly around 378% better on PC (It's true, I counted), pick it up.

Seriously the game plays WAAAAAAY better with keyboard and mouse the direct aiming mode and 60 frames, suddenly the combat goes from a slog to something that's entirely enjoyable. Also it's super pretty.

Damn you Alan Wake, I bought it for five dollars on 360.

@korwin: It's absolutely gorgeous on PC. The cutscenes do suffer though. They look really compressed.

I bought it 3 times on 360 (2 times at retail sealed, digital), and twice on steam.

Ilkka Villi (the actor behind Alan Wake) is on a local morning TV program right now. Apparently he's working with Remedy on something which he can't talk about. It's weird seeing the dude in adverts etc. around here when all I can think of when I see him is Alan Wake. It's like I'm living inside one of his nightmares.

EDIT: He's doing meatball tasting right now. Some pretty special stuff.

Do the expansions make the ending not suck? I remember playing this years ago, and I thought the ending was terrible.

They tie up some loose ends, and add some new things on top of that, but the expansion story isn't all that interesting and I didn't finish it to find out how that ends.
