I finally decided to play the game despite everyone saying how good the game is, and I was literally mind-blown by the story and the atmosphere. The gameplay was enjoyable enough just to get through to see what happens in the next "episode" but I loved the game. The actor for Alan Wake himself was amazing and made the story and his struggle that much more believable and enjoyable. I was disappointed but satisfied by the ending which apparently from what I heard is addressed by the DLC but I hope the continue the series. Easily one of my favourite games of this generation.
