Platforming
Gameplay Trailer
(Embedding not working properly) Wow, looks like a proper sequel. Invisible platforms?! Cool ass weapons? New evade maneuver? Zelda-like combat? CAAAAKE!
Looks like McGee is back on track.

Platforming
There may still be inherent camera issues with this game like most platformers, but I don't care. Yes I do want an old-school platformer with a modern game budget goddamit!
" I like the environment designs, but everything else looks poor. "I thought the combat looked good, mostly due to the new evade system. Platforming looked typically iffy, but that is inherent of the genre.
Never played (or even really heard of) the original way back when, but the aesthetic of this game really sells it to me. It could be cool.
" @AssInAss: Great stuff, thanks for sharing this! The game is looking great, can hardly wait. And I hope Chris Vrenna is making the soundtrack for the sequel as well :) "From McGee's blog, looks like it's Teargas and Plateglass (they're on same label that Vrenna was when he made Alice OST) . Their music was featured in the Xmen 3 trailer, "Plague Burial". Personally, they sound like a great fit.
" @KillyDarko said:I'm listening to their album as I write this and impressed so far. I think you're right, they'll be a good fit." @AssInAss: Great stuff, thanks for sharing this! Looks great! I'm getting a 'useless peashooter' vibe from that gun thing, though, kind of like it was Devil May Cry or Darksiders, which makes it strange then that the blade doesn't seem to be significantly more powerful. Or maybe that giant dude is just a damage sponge, hard to tell from just watching one fight.
