Alonzo Mourning is a retired center/power forward from the NBA (Franchise) who played for the Charlotte Hornets, Miami Heat (Concept), and New Jersey Nets. Mourning is a 1-time NBA champion, 7-time NBA All-Star, 2-time All-NBA (1x first team, 1x second team), 2-time NBA Defensive Player of the Year, 2-time All-Defense First Team, 2-time NBA blocks champion. On March 30, 2009, Mourning became the first Miami Heat player to have his number retired, and on April 7, 2014, it was announced that Mourning will be inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame.
