    I liked kotor 1 better in terms of the writing of it and how things played out,kotor 2 had alot of confusing themes and shit happening. But overall I liked them both a ton,Kotor 2 definately added higher levels and new skills which was superior in terms of the combat over kotor 1 definitely.

    And yeah i've heard a good amount about that game from Obsidian,most describe it as kind of being like Mass Effect but you're a kind of spy instead of soldier. Saw some stuff about it in a Game Informer a few months ago and looked up more information recently,it really looks like a promising game.

    I preferred the gameplay in KOTOR II, but I thought the original KOTOR was better put together.

    Nope, I liked one better in almost every aspect except gameplay and graphic.

    The gameplay was way better but the writing was sub-par to what we expected from a succesor to KOTOR. They didn't had the time to finish it and it shows a great deal in the final product, sadly.

    KOTOR II would certainly be the best of the two if it hadn't been rushed out and the developers had time to make a real ending to the game. I mean, the last dungeon had almost no puzzles, just wave after wave of drones to kill, It was so anti-climatic...

    Nope, the first game was much better. The game-play was *slightly* better in the second one, but not enough to make up for it's terrible writing. As a note, i did very much enjoy the 2nd game's influence sytem.

    Overall, the I would have to say the first was a better game, although the second did have a much deeper story. The second one would have without a doubt been better if the game were complete, unfortunately LucasArts only gave Obsidian 11 months to work on it.

    Not me. KOTOR II should of been given a couple more months to develop and then it would've been something really special. It just felt buggy and incomplete in a lot of ways.

    The Obsidian guys are pretty talented and I think they just need more leeway when it comes to making their games.

    I thought the ending was fine. What bothered me was all the technical issues. I would have liked them equally if Kotor II had fewer glitches.

    Enjoyed the first better, but I don't blame Obsidian for that. If they had more time to make it I'm sure it would've been a better game. Or maybe it's the fact Kotor 1 is my all time favourite game and no game will ever measure up to it. So yeah, I'm not really to be trusted when comparing any game to the first Kotor.

    I did, just because what II did with conversations appealed more to me, having just about every skill matter in dialogue was awesome and I'm dying to see what is happening with Alpha protocol. KOTOR II was technically flawed but still great.

    I would probably think that 2 was a better game, except that ending (or lack of ending) really pissed me off, enough to ruin the experience.

    KOTOR = fresher, newer, funnier
    KOTOR II = deeper gameplay, more fun combat, crafting, branching etc...

    KOTOR II met all my expectations, not as "new" or "cool" as the first, but continued the same basic idea w/ deeper gameplay, the perfect expansion pack

    KOTOR2 seemed incomplete (and it was) so im going to have to go with KOTOR1 as far as which was a better experience.
