Control rogue agent Michael Thorton as he tries to unearth an international conspiracy in the near future (where everybody seems to have a hidden agenda or two) in this third-person action RPG.
For 15 quid that sounds like a decent deal. Sure, gameplay wise it's got some serious problems but it's got great ideas plus it's an Obsidian product so the writing should be good too.
A lot, but feels better accomplished (not technically-wise), especially in the chemistry between team-mates. "
Just don't expect much from the combat because you'll be dumping all of your skill points into accuracy. Micheal Thorton cannot shoot a gun for his life. Literally.
It's great. The talky/story side of it is far more dynamic and ambitious than anything in Mass Effect. The gameplay is fine if you approach it as an RPG instead of expecting a TPS. It really isn't designed to be played as a shooter though, at all, and if you do approach it as a shooter then it falls apart and you likely won't enjoy playing it much.
The downside is that it's pretty rough around the edges - or at least it was at launch.
" The story and characters outclass Mass Effect. The gameplay does not hold a candle to anything released in the last five years though. If you like story and choice in games, then it's an absolute must-play. If you're more into straight up shooting mechanics, I would pass. "
