Extraterrestrials appear in many video games in a variety of styles. Sometimes they're evil, sometimes they're benevolent, and sometimes they're very similar to humans.
Hideous lizard-like organisms from Fiendia Prime, reinforced with titanium skeletons. They summon balls of molten lava into existence through miniature black holes.
Brightly coloured orbs, which often contain contain experience points, that home in towards the player.
The concept of affecting the universe through supernatural methods, breaking the fundamental laws of science.
Some creatures have three or more arms, making them able to do more tasks at the same time than ones who only have two or less.
In many games such as Devil May Cry and God of War, Orbs, or "Souls", if you will, spawn out of the enemies you destroy and provide you with either sweet life or power. Many times these "Orbs" can also be used as a currency of sorts to upgrade.
Reptilian humanoids are a common motif in mythology, folklore and fantasy. As a race, they are sometimes cited to be extremely old, even older than men and elves. Examples: Lizalfos (Zelda), Lizardmen (Warhammer) & Argonians (The Elder Scrolls) They generally walk upright like any other humanoid and sport some kind of tail.
Any practitioner of magic (wizard, sorcerer, mage, necromancer, etc.) who casts spells. Even unlearned scholars can throw a mean magic missile every now and then.
A magician who specializes in the arcane arts of summoning. Conjurers are able to call forth otherworldly beasts and guardians to their aid.
