Flatwoods Monster

The final boss of the game, fought at the end of Zone 6-2. The US manual labels it "ALIEN", suggesting a relation to the "COSMIC MAN" and tiny Adamski "UFO" enemies encountered in the last two stages. Only the small glowing star that flies around it is vulnerable, and like some of the other bosses, the monster fades to black and jerkily slides off-screen when defeated. The boat it was lurking in, seen on the progress map and sighted in the distance at the beginning of Zone 1-1, proves to be the vessel the hero needs to finally escape the dangerous island. Could it be that this extraterrestrial is responsible for all the strange and hostile creatures on the island? We can only speculate, but the back of the Japanese box claims 'the mastermind behind the curtains is an alien UFO army'! (うしろで糸を引く黒幕はエイリアンのUFO軍団。)
