Ange Ushiromiya is the daughter of Rudolf Ushiromiya and Kyrie Ushiromiya and is the little sister of Battler Ushiromiya. Because she's sick during the events of the Ushiromiya family conference of 1986, she never makes it to the island and survives the ensuing massacre that takes place there. After the events in Beatrice's third game (Umineko no Naku Koro ni: Banquet of the Golden Witch), her last surviving relative Eva Ushiromiya becomes her caretaker. Eva, who lost her entire family in the massacre, ends up deeply resenting Ange. She's later enrolled at the St. Lucia academy ends up leading a miserable life up until the end of that timeline.

Despite originally missing out on the family conference, she ends up playing a major role in future episodes of the series. In Alliance of the Golden Witch Ange tries to learn the truth about the events of 1986 and later learns the use of magic through the diary of Maria Ushiromiya, becoming the new and final Endless Witch with Bernkastel as her guardian. Throughout the episode, Ange is helped by the Stakes of Purgatory, in particular Mammon of Greed. Throughout the episode, Ange also tries to assist Battler in his game against Beatrice under a false name, "Gretel."

Ange goes on to make appearances in Dawn of the Golden Witch, Requiem of the Golden Witch and Twilight of the Golden Witch. She's also a selectable fighter in the Ougon Musou Kyoku series of fighting games.
