Overview
Armored Core (AC) are advanced, bipedal mecha that utilized in the Armored Core series. The AC first appears in the first game of Armored Core on the Playstation. It was created by FromSoftware, the creators of the Armored Core series. The size of the Armored Cores in first Armored Core to for Answer are about 10 meters (32.8 foot) tall, and in Armored Core V they are about 5 meters (16.4 foot) tall. Despite being small, it's unknown why the ACs in Armored Core: V are half the height than the previous ACs.
History
The Armored Cores first started as
Muscle Tracers (MTs) in the first game of
Armored Core. MTs are relatively small vehicles, normally walkers in nature, that was first originally designed in the civilian sector for construction work and other remedial heavy lifting tasks. But the MTs didn't last so long when both private military contractors and national militaries weaponized the MT technology. The MT combat units began as reverse joint walking tanks, equipped with an single medium-caliber cannons and rockets. Over time, the amount and type of MTs grew rapidly over the world and significantly more expensive than their conventional warfare counterparts, but did not completely replace them.
Production AC Models
Production AC Models are fully built AC frames by the corporations. Rather then being parts by parts, these units are built from the ground as one package. The Production AC becomes more in Armored Core 4 and later to For Answer.
