The F2000 was designed to be a modular weapon system (MWS) as a gas-operated, rotating bolt
assault rifle in a compact ambidextrous bullpup layout. Chambered to fire 5.56x45mm NATO-caliber rounds with selective firing modes of semi-automatic or fully automatic, the F2000 is capable of firing 850 rounds per minute at an effective range of 500 meters. This gives the F2000 the capable stopping power of most assault rifles, but in a more compact package that does not sacrifice modularity. The modularity of the F2000 allows for attachable optical sights via the Picatinny rail system, or a lightweight underbarrel 40 mm GL1
grenade launcher.
