I'm annoyed by the fact that so much attention is given to the fact that this game is stylishly unique.  It's also happens to be a really fun game and that is _way_ more important to what makes it a good game, everything else is truly just icing on the cake.

It's as if people take fun for granted, assuming there is fun, and don't really applaud how much artistic talent actually goes into fun itself.  Portal had a very similar vibe around it.  Everybody commented on how they were emotionally affected, but they failed to recognize that it was the fun factor that opened that door in the first place.
