How much better will FF13 be on PS3 vs 360? A little? Or a lot?
neither. ff13 will suck just like 7,8,9,10,x2, 12..ect
P.S go into your profile and change your stance to sony fanboy, since your obviously one.

well all i have to say is that microsoft really bent over sony over on this one. Well now i dont have to get a PS3 to play this game ; D
So many people say that, oh we're just whining it will be great on both systems, no okay! Look if the company has been developing the game for the ps3 for this long and now they're going to start developing for the 360 and then come out with them at the same time then there's only one way that's going to happen. That way is that they are going to pour all their resources into making ff13 on the 360, which will of been in development for much shorter, equal to the ps3 version which in the end are resources that could of been used to make the ps3 version better. So overall this takes away from the ps3 version and even if they were scaling up for this development they're still not going to even be allowed to make it any better on the ps3 because microsoft is paying them off so much, it's just evil the way that square enix is willing to sell out the quality of their games.
I'm willing to bet they will have negligible differences at best. The PS3 will have an install, I have no doubt in my mind. The 360 version will probably be 4 discs like Lost Odyssey, totally not a big deal.
I doubt they will look the same the ps3 version has to look far superior, consider that its been in development pretty much as long as MGS4, so that means that it will look pretty much similar if not better, and I honestly don't think that the 360 can handle that. Ultimately it will be the same game jsut shinier on the ps3.
If there's any difference it will just be that the 360 version is on multiple discs and and the PS3 version is not.
EDIT: The pre-rendered cutscenes might have a tad higher fidelity on PS3 due to the extra disc space that lets them keep the videos relatively uncompressed.
"neither. ff13 will suck just like 7,8,9,10,x2, 12..ectWow, such absolutism. With a statement like that one can only deduce that you are clearly are an xbox fanboy... Or something...

As for the TC and his equally bold statements. Uhm. Wow. None of what you wrote will happen due to how this game is being developed. Or how any modern muliti platform game is developed. The Crystal Tool development engine was written to be a multi-platform engine: PC/PS3/Xbox 360. Let's go through TC statements point by point:
* Being developed on PS3 platform first in international Sony headquarters of Japan
It's true development started first on the PS3. But so did development for other games... Such as Assassins Creed... And Devil May Cry 4, and other games, none of which showed any earth shattering changes between platforms. If anything history points to PS3 ports sadly having more instances of problems.
* Getting ported to inferior console rife with hidden charges, unreliable engineering and partially human executives who are probably splicing their own bodies with unethical augmentations as we speak
What? What hidden charges? The 360 does have hardware issues but seldom do they affect games... Just the hardware... Unethical augmentations? What is this Bioshock?
* Getting ported by Japanese developers who secretly despise the American marketplace and want MS to fail
Grab your tin foil hat? The 360 has a larger install base in NA. Square wants to make more money in NA. Square has no incentive from a business standpoint to secretly wish the demise of the platform they are already making games on. (Last Remnant/ Unlimited Undiscovery/ Star Ocean 4)
* Cinematics sprinkled with subtle edits that depict typical overweight US teenagers screaming into 360 headsets offensive racial remarks and homophobic insults as they chainsaw each other to death online, a symbolic allusion to the inner self-hatred all 16-year-old 360 owners share
This thread is an insult to my intelligence.
* Getting ported by Japanese developers who secretly despise the American marketplace and want MS to failOh wow I lol'd
ReTarDedFisHy thinks it'd be almost exactly the same except for multiple discs for the 360. PS3 may be a little better considering they've only just announced the 360 version. But hey, there's still plenty of time, so you never know ;D
I think both will be good in different ways. The PS3 will not have to go through multiple discs, but the 360 will have achievements, which will add more replay value to the title. The 360 might also have DLC(if SE decides to do it).
"* Being developed on PS3 platform first in international Sony headquarters of JapanWow that's totally not a biased opinion. (sarcasm)

It'll be nearly identical like pretty much all games.
Unless we want to go all systemwarsey (gamespot) and count the missing pixels and shadows?
The PS3 version will most likely have somewhat better graphic and sound fidelity do to compression (or lack thereof). PS3 version will come on one disc, and will probably require an install of some sort. PS3 version will almost certainly have faster load times. 360 version will probably ship on multiple discs. 360 version will probably not require an install, but may have an option for one to help with load times.
I don't own a 360 anymore, so I'll be playing this on the PS3 regardless, but i do believe this is a title that will be better on the PS3 to a noticable degree.
Either way, win for gamers. This one looks like a marked improvment over the last few. (8,10, 12 were snoozers IMO. 9 was alright, but not all that)
I think they'll be the same no differences between both versions except 360 might have multiple discs other then that Im pretty sure there wont be any other differences between the versions.
Disregarding the original poster's comments and just going off the title of the thread; Yeah it will be on multiple discs on the 360, but the end result (in a technical view) will have minor differences between the two platforms.
I trust that SE will work just as hard on the 360 version making graphical improvements where they can. I never like to sell them short, in my view they've worked hard on every game and I've thoroughly enjoyed every final fantasy (or others from SE) that I've played.
If I get a PS3 by that time, I might buy it for that system; if not then I'll get it on the 360. SE hasn't failed 'me' yet so I'm not worried.
Once again, they're going to be the same. Notice how pretty much all other games look the same?
Well considering how high profile this game is, I'm sure it'll be treated well on both.
And PS3 fanboys, by saying that the 360 version will suck (or vice versa), you're essentially saying that the developers suck, basically. Not exactly something to be proud of
Edit: but the 360 version will come on multiple disks. I don't think anyone has a problem with this. I sort of like it, it makes the game feel more epicy. Not a huge deal, but I did like having 4 disks in Lost Odyssey and 3 for blue dragon.
I think that some people actually over-estimate the capabilities of the PS3. While I do agree that it's a more powerful machine, I don't think it's by a significant margin. I expect both versions to look the same.
"I wonder if the 360 version will have exclusive DLC where you can chainsaw other players apart online.Yeah. I think he is definitely a Sony fanboy.
But, like, in tactical turn-based chainsaw battles with cool limit break chainsaw summons.
