who here is playing old ps2 games on their ps3

i was just wondering because recently i have picked up GOW 1 and 2 and max payne 1 and 2 and started playing them again on my ps3 and i was thinking maybe other people are doing this to so if you are post what games you are playing?

Max Payne on the PS2 was jacked Up dude (Need PC Version or Xbox)

ANYWAY, yes I do. I played Half-Life and RE Code Veronica X

I'm still powering through Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne and Dragon Quest VIII.

I have tons of PS2 Games and I play a lot of them, like PES 2008, Gran Turismo 4, Enthusia Professional Racing, etc.

This is a main reason I'd want a PS3. I never had a PS2. But may someone answer whether or not the new price-dropped 399 PS3 80gb will have any sort of backwards support?

I love my launch console for just that, I still play games in the box sets for MGS and DMC, as well as FFX.  I also only just picked up GoW 2 the other day, playing it for the first time recently.  But man, these PS2 graphics are aging, quickly.

I wish :P I have the 40 gig.

i believe that it is just a price cut and that it is the same 80 GB that came with motorstorm so it will play most ps2 games but to make sure you should go to http://www.us.playstation.com/Support/CompatibleStatus and it will tell you whats compatible

i do. i still want to play GOW1/2, some FF games, GT4, and probably RE4.

I play them on mine all the time.

Metal Gear essential collection, FFXII, Okami and currently working on Tomb Raider Anniversary
