Highly Rated Games That You Don't Lke

What games that have been critically or commercially successful that you just didn't like?
I'm gonna have to go with Super Smash Bros (the original and Melee) haven't played Brawl yet
and I know I'm gonna get crap for this. Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time >_<

BF: Bad Company, god that game sucked in every department apart from blowing up walls..but you COULDN'T SHOOT THROUGH WALLS. Makes sense to me, bah

Halo 1 and two. =)  But to be fair I'm not able to play online, so that may have quite a bit to do with it =)

I'd never owned or played through a GTA game before 4 came out, but for some reason the hype got to me and I had to have it at launch.  I played for a couple hours and was kinda disappointed, the story was interesting but the controls were absolutely terrible, the framerate was hit or miss, and I guess I just got tired of killing or blowing things up quicker than I was supposed to.  When all the reviews started pouring out giving it perfect scores I really, really tried get into it, but it just never happened.

All Gran turismo games.

Halo. Only played the first one (which got like a 9.5 at Gamespot) and didn't like it. Thought the enemies were dumb.

gears of war 1. the sequal looks slightly better

Don't get me wrong I played them, but I don't see what makes them anything other than cliche shooters.

Rock Band and Guitar Hero 3

They just seem like gimmicks to me... I also really don't like buying expensive peripherals for games.

I second Guitar Hero III, as stated above and for the same reason.  You can just tell someone else took it over.  it was like it was imitating itself.

I'm also another one who can't get into Final Fantasy, as much as I would like to.  I'm a sucker for a good story and a high production value.  Too bad Final Fantasy games have vastly overrated stories and outdated game mechanics.  FFXII was a step in the right direction in some ways though.  It hooked me longer than any game in the series yet.

UT3 I much prefer the original.

GTA IV was a let down. Too many mundane minigames trying to impress Niko's friends. Also towards the end you're just wasting time waiting for the phone call for the next mission. Pretty poor game design if you ask me and definitely not 10/10 worthy in my books. Low to middle 9's maybe...

Mass Effect, I pretty much forced myself to play through it.

Freedom Fighters, Condemned, the FEAR games, Fallout 1

Though on the latter I fully liked the gameplay but was so scared shitless I didn't enjoy it

BF - Bad Company, DICE really made me look forward to this.
Big dissapointment !
They said that you could destroy anothing, and run your tank through a house or w/e. When i started to play it, the whole thing lagged as if i was playing Crysis on a NES !
The destruction was really disapointing; you can run your tank trough a concrete house or a tree as if ti was butter, but if there's a concrete barrier or a pole that supports the house - your tank stops like it hit Chuck Norris. Also if you try to run down a tree with your tank, the tree doesnt break before its in the middle of your tank - which looks really silly.

Bad Company is a good shooter, and the shooting part is good (expept when you got the artillery, and some idiot Team Kills you). But because of all the promises DICE made, i got disapointed

Bioshock I really hated. Also SSBB its terrible Melee was 100 times better.

I thought Twilight Princess was pedestrian. I was bored through most of the game.

MGS4 nice looking game, couldn't get into it

Metal Gear series

halo, gears, ff8, devil may cry, battlefeild, counter strike

FEAR, wasn't into the same environments over and over again. Hopefully, that will change with Project Origin.

Mass effect. I got it launch day played it for a couple of hours, got bored out of my mind and now it's circulating amongst my friends who enjoy it.

GEARS OF WAR god that game was average

Bioshock, Assassins creed, Portal and any RPG cause i hate rpg's

Halo.

Crysis: Just has nothing going on. 
GTA4:  Melodramatic, and quickly runs out of interesting things to get you to do.
FF Series:  Just can't get into JRPGs

i would have to say Brawl it felt too much like Melee and w/ one person it sucks as does the online
