So I read somewhere that Too Human would have coop, but if you play it with a friend you wont be able to see the story in the game, just play the maps with monsters that you encounter during singleplayer. Whats up with that? Can anyone confirm this?

I thought Too Human demo was pretty alright, would be fun to play coop, but not without a story.

I've heard the same stuff as well and it honestly doesn't bug me too much. Co-op in these games is just about beating down mosters together, collection loot and then showing off your new armor/weapons. Most people wouldn't even pay attention to the story.

Anyone have a source on this?

If its true that totally sux. What possible reason would they have for this? Surely would be a technical thing as it doesnt seem like a good design choice. Cut Scenes can always be skipped if you dont want to hear the story.

Well, there are alot of parts where it flashes to a "cut scene" where you can control your character and then control is taken away from you as the cut scene continues. I'm guessing they couldn't come up with a way for there to be 2 Baldurs in the controllable parts and then switching to the actual cutscenes where there is only one Baldur without it being wierd.

They should be some type of story here, just not very deep.

After playing the demo multiple times I can see why they did it. When i played the first time the cut scenes were cool, any time after that and it was just annoying. I mostly think they didn't want you to have to watch the same scene over and over while your just trying to get some epic drops.

i only watched the cutscenes once anyways, after that I'd kinda be grateful they were being skipped automatically.

I also think it's a good idea. I actually thought about that while playing the demo, because some very short cutscenes are unskippable and annoyed me a lot. If this was missing in CoOp, it'd be perfect. Play through the game once in SP, with full sotry and after that, just get the story out of the way, I would probably skip all cutscenes anyway.

fair enough. But what if you want to play co-op straight off the bat. Or only play the game once?
Or have someone join your game halfway through?

They can do all of that but if you've played the demo more than twice you can see where all the interactive cutscenes would be tedious with someone else.  Plenty of previewers have already complained that the game is only 15 hours long.  If that's the case then why not play it at least twice with different classes?  I intend to play through at least once solo and then again with a new class for all my friendly co-op sessions.

If you only play the game once all the way through they say you'll only get to around lvl 30 out of a maximum of 50.  I plan on getting my money's worth and see what the enemies are like at 50.  Especially since when the sequel comes out you will be able to carry over your pimped out guy with all his gear to part 2 and then part 3.

Hey RCwpong, nice to see at least 1 TH.netter here.

After playing through the demo about 20 times or so, I can agree with you all that the story should be only in SP. After my first run through I started skipping cut scenes anyway.

You make a good point, I have no rebuttal.
