I only read the bold part at the beginning I am not going to lie.
EDIT: Forgot to mention WALL OF TEXT
A Review of Max Payne The Movie (MASSIVE SPOILERS)
I agree with the review completely I mean they fucked it up badly, Im playing through the games again right now because the movie left such a bad taste in my mouth. I now know how people feel when they fuck up their favorite book when they make it a movie.
Goddamn wasted potential
"Reviews aren't meant to have spoilers, that's why they're for people who haven't seen the movie..."And if they have spoilers, they should be of the "MASSIVE" kind...
That being said... I am not reading that wall of text, but I read the first sentence and I will likely agree because I thought the movie was an absolute disaster on so many fronts.
I had the film buffering up on another site, then I visited here, saw this thread and just closed the tab...
This is part of things to come in the movie industry. Filmmakers realize the theatre is dying and they barely have motivation to edit their films well for the big screen. Take Die Hard 4: great movie, terrible editing. I was furious when I started seeing this years ago. However, the Unrated DVD version of Die Hard 4 was great because they took the time to edit it correctly. But we all know it doesn't take six months to edit a damn movie. The turn-around in Asia from theatre to DVD is two weeks. But our industry likes to milk their product for money. Theatre revenue will be low, but DVD sales will be high because they get three times as much from rental and retail. Why go to the theatre when our country is forcing us to switch to HD TVs and then we can have a home theatre? I'm almost positive new movies will only be digitally distributed by 2015.
