Well, who should they be??
Next Batman villains?
A lot of the rumors are swirling around the possibility of the Riddler, but I feel ol' Edward Nigma functions on a lot of the same mechanics as the Joker. Sure, he's a different villain, not as psychotic, not as hands-on, but he toys with Batman in a similar manner.
I'm hoping for a Bane-Azrael arc. I don't think it will happen; neither of the Nolan films have followed one particular story, rather they've been amalgamations of several similarly-toned stories. Despite that, however, I think the Azrael arc could function as Batman's redemption piece quite well, though I don't know how strong the movie would be without Bale as the centerpoint (because neither Bane nor Azrael is as compelling a villain as the Joker).
UGH.no ROBIN please~
I don't see why so many people are against Robin. Is it because of the 60's TV series? Or the 80s -90s Batman films? Either way, I always thought all the characters in all versions were kind of wacky. I believe if Nolan sat down and seriously considered putting Robin in, he could think of a very clever way to do so, and convince everyone to accept it.
Personally though, I think Robin should be held off for a few movies until Nolan's Batman grows older a bit.

But I'm not sure. I'd like to see what they do with a lot of the villains.

I would like to see an adaptation of the Knightfall storyline, with Bane (and later Azrael, or a character like Azrael) as the villain.
Oh yeah, and good Batman villains to add...
I'd say the Riddler and Two-Face. I know they alluded to Harvey's death but he didn't get enough "Face time."
I wish we could see the Joker again, but it wouldn't be right to add him to any major role in the series again. Perhaps they could refer to him...
Harley Quinn would be cool, and pretty much any villain who hasn't ever been featured in a Batman movie. I actually enjoy the lesser famous characters more. (Except for Heath Ledgers unbeatable Joker).
I think Dark Knight goes to show that Two-Face just isn't complex enough to enjoy a movie to himself, or rather another movie to himself.
Once the transition to Two-Face is complete there isn't much left to demonstrate, in the whole scope of things, until Batman confronts and defeats him. Instead, it is necessary to have Harvey Dent to juxtapose his manic alter-ego. Think about it. Without the Joker, The Dark Knight is "The Rise and Fall of Harvey Dent," essentially.
"Harley Quin?interesting enough, she was the only batman character who wasn't in a comic but it would be cool to see her in the movie.

"A lot of people are talking about Phillip Seymour Hoffman being penguin. Penguin is a character that can TOTALLY be made in Nolans Batman universe. He could be dealt with much like how they dealt with Two Face."I've heard this brought up before, with Hoffman's name attached. I couldn't agree more that this would be a fantastic presentation. However, the penguin may not be quite serious enough for the Nolan canon, but I guess anything's possible.
I would love to see The Riddler in the third one, as he's always been among my favorites. Someone mentioned David Tennant in the role, and I can honestly say I would be more than satisfied with that choice.
Bane deserves a decent remake after that terrible incredible hulk persona they gave him in Batman and Robin
He'd be easy to bring into the Nolan-Batman universe.
However I would love to see a remake of Clayface too as long as they make him deceive more and turn into a Japanese monster movie villian less
"joey said:"Jim Carey as the Riddler."Dear god NO!
"
I just remember when Lando Calrissian was Harvey Dent.
Ah, good times.
Well there will be no Robin, that's a certain, because a Robin= no bale=no good. Nolan said he wants to add a villain we have yet to see in a Batman film. Im not to great with all the villains so Im not sure who he would pick. IGN had an interesting article about this, they suggested it be Batman vs, The Cops, and they hire The Riddler to come in and try to hunt down Batman,
"Jim Carey as the Riddler."
I think he's perfect for the role, sadly the dude who made Batman Forever didn't know how to take advantage of his talent
I think Two-Face will return(his death is not "confirmed" so we know what that means in movies), he's one of Batman's main villans besides Joker, and i dont think we'll ever see a return of him.
But after Two-Face i would love to see Scarecrow(just make him a little better then "Dude with a sack on his head"), Penguin, Mr. Freeze, or Riddler...basically i would love to see a Rehash of anyone that got F'd in the past movies, although i did kinda like Devito as penguin.
Bane would be cool, but i am really hyped hoping for more Two-Face...he's one of my favorite villans. But Scarecrow would be awesome to, and that would allow Nolan to keep the "psychologial" vibe he has going with this movie.
"fuck no to the penguin"why is that? he could be dealt with just like harvey dent was. make him seem ordinary but definitely have a huge role in the film and have him try to get into office so that he can destroy the justice system there from the inside out. i can totally see nolan getting this right.
"I think Two-Face will return(his death is not "confirmed" so we know what that means in movies), he's one of Batman's main villans besides Joker, and i dont think we'll ever see a return of him.they had a funeral for him. im pretty sure he is dead. and i liked it that way. nolan makes one movie at a time. you guys are way to fixated on trilogies with continuation. theres no need for two-face to go on, the guy had such a tragic storyline it would be stupid and silly to see him go on a mindless rampage on the city. and then everyone would hate the city government for covering up his death and his crimes and to blame it on batman
