When pie is good, pie is really freaking good. Like pumpkin pie. Or banana cream pie. I say pie.

I find with alot of cakes the frosting is a bit overwhelming.

Not to mention pie is far more versatile in flavors and styles. I mean fuck if you wanna be a commie bastard even pizza is technically a pie.

Also nothing is more American than apple pie.

I'd say that cakes are reliable when it comes to some good dessert and pies have more peaks and valleys, but when that pie peaks... holy shit that's a good pie

Wow look at all the people who only liked this site for about a month and never came back. I mean, output was sparse in 2008, but you'd think people would have stuck around or came back when things picked up and Vinny/Brad joined. To think people came here over Kane and Lynch, but ultimately went back to Gamespot and never checked out this site ever again, after all its become, its crazy.

We should track down these people with less than 50 posts on Gamespot or any other forum theyre on, and fill them in on everything theyve missed, from Chauncy Billups to NEVER to TANG to Persona to 775 to Hot97 to BLLSL to CBSi to PAX to Korea.

Its a biased comparison to make, because most people simply haven't had very good cake. Good pie is pretty cheap, but a good cake is not your shitty grocery store slab or stock round. For those who have ever tasted actually good, bakery cake, they know its fucking ridiculous.

Let's make this thread more relavent to the present day: would you rather sit on a cake or flush a pie down a toilet?

Pie. Most cake is bullshit. It's just bread caked on with a bunch of overly sweet frosting. So you have to either go into sugar shock eating the only somewhat-decent part or eat a bunch of BS, tasteless bread.

Except for ice cream cake, that's good. But 90% of the time I'd go for pie.

The real question is whether apple crumble counts as pie. If it does count I choose pie. If not, I am going for cake.

How is this not a poll? I like Pie. Pie is average stuff filled with awesome stuff. Cake is awesome stuff wrapped around average stuff.
