Ok so I recently purchased a pair of Creative Labs EP-630/A Earphones for use with my zen stone plus, however, upon plugging them into the player I noticed the sound came out of only one earphone no matter how much I twisted or turned the jack. Frustrated I prepared to send them back to amazon, but first I plugged them into my PC to listen to some music - albeit through one earphone. Much to my surprise, both of the earphones worked on the PC. Confused, I quickly plugged them back into the mp3  player to see if maybe my left ear is just a little retarded, but to no avail - the same problem as before presented itself. The player doesn't have this problem with any other earphones so I'm extremely confused as to what causes this problem. If any audiophiles out there have encountered the same problem before and know of a solution, please help.

I don't see why that would affect the fix, try hitting it.
In my experience using hammers to hit them, helps greatly.

You obviously havn't seen how an Iphone's vibration function, among other things, can be fixed by dropping/hitting it. Either way, I've already tried hitting it as hard as I am prepared to, and it isn't working.

Okay seriously, I believe it's a loose jack connection common with Zen micros. Here's a fix for it http://www.instructables.com/id/Zen-Micro-Headphone-Jack-Fix/
Wait awe crap, just realized you have a Stone plus sorry.
But I imagine the problem between the Micros and stone plus are very similar, as to how to fix it probably not.

Hmmm, this isn't a zen micro however, is there any evidence to suggest that the same problem affects zen stones? Also, if this is the case - why wouldn't it affect other headphones?

Hahaha no shit, but they're just going to tell me to send it in for repairs - in which case I can't be fucked so I'll just buy another. Was just wondering if anyone else had this problem and could save me the money.

Make sure you're plugging them into the right socket and check your PC to see if they are muted. I've heard that sometimes people need to unplug their speakers to use headphones as well.

Also, with more advanced headsets, you may be able to switch between mono and stereo, which could actually affect what you're hearing..
