I think it looks awesome. I remember playing the original and while it was fun, it wasn't amazing. But the new vamped-up 3-D version has impressed me. Your thoughts?
Bionic Commando
Game » consists of 11 releases. Released May 18, 2009
Bionic Commando is the follow-up to the NES classic of the same name. The game revolves around the protagonist's bionic arm used for swinging, and combat.
So anybody hyped for this game?
i'm really exiced about it too, i really love what i have seen from the trailers so far. I can't wait to play this one and rearmed, i really liked the original
What the hell, where is everyone? This game looks badass, so yeah im hyped, but I don't know yet if its gonna be another Lost planet or a better game
I kind of am, mainly for the swinging mechanics. And really hyped for the 2D PSN release version! :P
Yeah, i'm pretty excited for both this and the arcade version. it just seems like the right time for this game to be redone.
After seeing the Gamespot E3 Live Coverage all i can think about is buying this game and hopefully getting my hands on that lifesize Bionic arm Ryan McDonald was wearing during the live demo. The game looks pretty awesome to be honest, bionic arm + spider man style swinging = great!
Really?
See here http://gamersrefresh.com/index.php?command=game&id=149 for links to movies etc for Bionic Commando ... for Rearmed http://gamersrefresh.com/index.php?command=game&id=1785
They are either going to nail the swing mechanic, or make it difficult to use. Previews indicate that they've got that part figured out, and the environment (a recently destroyed city) has a lot to swing from/attach to. I'm sure there will be other environments, but the screens I've seen seem pretty good.
I care more about Rearmed, though, I'm not going to lie.
Bionic Command Rearmed has made me somewhat hopeful, but I'm not going to get my hopes up too much. The swinging mechanic has already been done fairly well in the Spiderman games, so... it really needs to bring more to the table than just that. I think it's all going to hinge on level design, which I get the impression is going to be roller-coaster-esque, which is fine by me.
I'm getting more hyped up about it the more i hear about it, I'm looking forward to the multiplayer definitley, the story however would be something kool to add on for me. If I get it i might review it.
also people keep an eye on the tokyo game show next week the producer ben judd said that hes gonna make an announcement about the game that will make your "balls sack pucker up" but i bet giantbomb will cover it perfectly as usual
It looks pretty cool, but I hated that they delayed it. But I wouldn't want them to release a un-finished game.
