He was the third seat of the 2nd division and the creator of the Hogyoku. He is best friends with Yoruichi Shihouin, the former captain of the 2nd division.

    Background

    Urahara Kisuke is the owner of the Urahara Shoten (Urahara Shop), which is run by Urahara himself along with Ururu Tsumugiya, Jinta Hanakari and Tessai Tsukabishi. Most of the time, Urahara is very cheerful and appears to have a laid-back personality, but he can get serious whenever the situation warrants it. He also gives off the feelings of mystery and elusiveness. Throughout the series he is a very “behind-the-scenes” character, popping in only when necessary, and usually never intervenes in issues directly.
