Larry Koopa is the second youngest of Bowser's children and a natural prankster.

His most distinguishing feature is a big blue mohawk, although new design shows him with a blue star-shaped birthmark near the back of his head, similar to that of Morton Koopa Jr.

Despite being the youngest of the koopalings, Larry is typically the last to face defeat at the hands of the Mario brothers.

Larry is named after talk-show host Larry King.

    Appearances

    Super Mario Bros. 3

In Super Mario Bros. 3, Larry aided his father in his attempt to take over the Mushroom World.

He stole the magic wand from the king of Grass Land and turned him into an animal.

He used his newfound powers while battling Mario, but in the end Mario was victorious and Larry was forced to give up the wand, which broke the enchantment and returned the king back to his normal self.

    Super Mario World

Larry is the penultimate boss in Super Mario World, and shows up in the Valley of Bowser.

His attack pattern was similar to that of an earlier boss, Iggy Koopa, albeit with a noticeable difference:

Larry kept three Podoboos as company.

Nevertheless, Mario succeeded in toppling him into the lava below and with Larry defeated, gained access to Bowser's Castle. Also, he appeared in the TV show as Cheatsy Koopa, the emperor of eavesdropping.

    Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga

Larry made a small comeback in in Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga, where he, along with the rest of the koopalings had been tricked into believing that Bowletta was actually their father.

In the end, he was defeated and once again disappeared.

    The second fight.

In New Super Mario Bros. Wii, Larry and the rest of the Koopalings crashes Princess Peach's birthday party and kidnap the princess.

Once the koopalings realize they are being chased by Mario and Luigi, Larry is sent down to deal with the pesky plumbers. Before the first battle starts, he is seemingly surprised at the sight of the plumbers and throws a hissy fit.

The first fight with Larry is relatively easy. Larry will use his wand to cast magic spells and jump around.

If he gets hit, he will retract into his shell and start to spin, becoming invincible for a short time. Larry is defeated after 3 stomps on the head, but run away and seek refuge in a nearby castle.

The second fight takes place in a room with pillars that move on their own, thanks to the magic of Kamek. This fight is similar to the last, with the exeption of more difficult terrain. After 3 more stomps, Larry is defeated.

He is last seen in the ending, where he and the rest of the siblings tries to get Bowser on his feet again.
