    Play exhibition games, online games, Blacktop, and the new addition 2KU, a live tutorial.

    My Career

    A robust career mode featuring the player's created player. Also features the MyPark multiplayer mode, where players play games of 1v1, 1v1v1, 2v2, 3v3, and 4v4. Each player uses their created player.

    New for this year's MyCareer is the addition of a dynamic duo with a created player and Justice Young played by Michael B. Jordan.

    MyTeam

    The player builds a team using trading cards.

    MyGM/MyLeague

    The franchise mode. The player takes the role of a coach, general manager, or owner, and controls the team.

    Cover Athletes

    This year the cover athlete is Paul George, of the Indiana Pacers, for the regular edition of the game. In Italy, the cover athlete is Danilo Gallinari, and in Spain it is Pau Gasol.
